We had another impressive showing at the recent 2019 Perth Royal Beer Awards (PRBA) held at the Claremont Showgrounds on June 29th bringing home, for the second year in a row, a trophy - along with ten medals!!!
Here is our press release from the event :)
Artisan calls itself "The biggest small brewer that you've probably never heard of!" as their beers are big in style and awards, but small in batch size and total production.
Specialising in Belgian inspired single-batch ales that showcase specialty White Labs yeast strains, they received their second trophy in a row for the 2017 Quadrupel which won The Best Wheat Beer/Belgian Draught class. This beer has now won three Gold medals in a row, quite an impressive feat! In fact all ten beers entered by Artisan medalled with the aforementioned Gold, six Silvers and three Bronzes.
Brian Fitzgerald, head brewer and co-founder, said the 2017 Quadrupel was still looking fantastic after almost three years of cellar conditioning and proved the age-ability of Artisan's beers. “This fits well into our philosophy of creating vintage ales that develop like fine wine. Our Belgian inspired ales are truly the wines of the beer world!”
